Setting Up Your New Coffee Machine
Congratulations on your new coffee machine! Follow this guide to get started.
Before You Begin
Unboxing
- Carefully remove the machine from packaging
- Remove all protective materials and stickers
- Check all accessories are included (refer to your manual)
- Inspect for any shipping damage
- Keep packaging for 30 days in case of returns
Location
Choose a spot that has:
- Flat, stable surface
- Access to power outlet
- Adequate ventilation (leave space around the machine)
- Easy access to water source
- Protection from direct sunlight
Initial Setup Steps
Step 1: Clean Before First Use
- Remove and rinse the water tank
- Rinse the drip tray
- Wipe down exterior with damp cloth
- Run water through the system (without coffee) 2-3 times
Step 2: Fill the Water Tank
- Remove the water tank
- Fill with fresh, cold water
- Do not exceed the maximum line
- Replace the tank securely
Step 3: Power On
- Plug in the machine
- Turn on the power switch
- Allow the machine to heat up (usually 2-5 minutes)
- Indicator lights will show when ready
Step 4: Prime the System
- Place a cup under the group head or spout
- Run water through without coffee
- This removes any manufacturing residue
- Repeat 2-3 times
Step 5: Make Your First Coffee
- Add fresh coffee beans to the hopper (if applicable)
- Or insert a pod/capsule
- Place your cup
- Select your desired coffee
- Enjoy!
Tips for Best Results
Water Quality
- Use filtered water for better taste
- Avoid distilled water (can damage some machines)
- Change water daily for freshness
Coffee Beans
- Use freshly roasted beans (within 2-4 weeks of roast date)
- Store beans in airtight container away from light
- Grind just before brewing for best flavour
Maintenance
- Clean drip tray daily
- Wipe steam wand after each use
- Descale regularly (see your manual for frequency)
- Replace water filter as recommended
